Thinking about Success

(In terms of economic success, my ratings of most important to least)

Hard work~

This is such a basic and fundamental sort of building block, that it almost falls into a now rare category... With economic success, of course nothing will really happen without it. Nothing will come of merely expecting results to improve by sitting around and twiddling thumbs. Success has to be earned, back-breakingly so, hard work is the foundation of building success up to become great. Without it, there would be nothing but a half-done job that is hardly adequate.

Skill~

Skill would be important in order to have a sort of mindset and ability to even perform a task. I think success can come from anything that has the right skill set to accomplish a task, it is what defines a person's performance in different tasks. Specifically, in economic success, it would be more skill and knowledge-based, two things I think fall in the same category. Basically... Correct measurement of skill are important and help identify useful areas of policy improvement. A country’s entire fundamental development depends on its economic success and the countries that foster high levels of skills in their population will better improve themselves and thrive in long term intervals. How else would anything manage to be accomplished in the task to better improve or move things forward?

Opportunity~

Another very important factor in any kind of success. As mentioned before skill is important, specifically it is important in being able to seize, create, and see opportunity. Opportunity is what could allow for a huge breakthrough, or a chance to spread knowledge or power... or even to further improve economic success further by itself. It is like an opening into the great garden that presents itself, but only a few can actually see it and are given the chance to take it, in which rewards would be reaped, in this case, it means more chance of income for work usually done.

Luck~

Perhaps one of the hit or miss tactics of things, but it can still play a role in jumping economic success into a state of, well... success. While it isn't something to be relied on overly much, there are times when certain decisions and outcomes are left up in the air leaving nothing but hope for luck to deliver a favorable outcome. Many might disagree and say that luck is important, but personally, I think hard work is far more rewarding in terms of outcomes for economic success... it gives proper rates and ideas needed instead of throwing the hands up and praying. It also helps people who have worked themselves to death to sit back and have a bit of a breather while letting lady luck decide.
