Distance Learning Film Project Choice

Hidden Figures (2016) I decided to try watching Hidde Figures, admittedly I have heard a bit about the movie but never got around to watching it... So I'm actually really looking forward to watching it. It caught my interest in the fact that these are women who led the way and whose stories are not as well shared and the fact that this is something that has to do with space. I happen to find empowering women and space incredibly drawing in my interest and look forward to conducting research in fact-checking the film with what history has of the space program during the time period.

Experiencing WWII and Cold War Era Research topics.

Conspiracy in America about birds In my research concerning how animals assisted and were used in the Cold War, I was able to learn several interesting new events... I never knew the first creature in orbit, or how animals had become a method in learning about atomic weapons and medical research at the time. I was even able to find out where the Birds being Government Spies came from.  The picture of Roosevelt captioned: “President Roosevelt, wearing a black armband, signs the declaration of war against Japan on December 8, 1941” While in quarantine when told to pick a topic to research and present, one of my classmates presented a topic of 'How America joined WWII'. I can't exactly explain how I came to find the topic interesting, but I think somehow being able to understand why America did something is always an interesting read. As I began to further investigate the topic, I started to see how rocky American and Japanese relations were regarding ...
